Ever Wonder How to Create a Well-Dressed Bed?

At Bedside Manor, we believe that a well-dressed bed is an essential component to a comfortable, restful bedroom.

Creating a Well-Dressed Bed

  • Mix and match. Start with your personalized color scheme and select the top of the bed first, these are the pieces that give your room its signature look. Work from the top down, remembering to create a solid foundation with a great, high-quality sheet set. Don’t be afraid to use contrasting colors.
  • Use lots of pillows. You can never have too many pillows. Use throw pillows, bed pillows and pillows your Aunt Agnes made. You’ll be surprised at how useful they are when you want to read in bed!
  • Pay attention to quality. Quality counts when creating a well-dressed bed. High-quality bedding not only looks better, it retains its beauty longer and provides a better night’s sleep. The only drawback? Once you go there, you’ll never go back! Look for Egyptian cotton, higher thread counts and fine details – details that indicate that bedding is well made.
  • Don’t overlook the foundation. Use high-quality, down mattress pads, mattresses and pillows to create the proper look and feel that fine linens deserve. And it’s great for the sleepers too!
  • Change it up. Bedding is like fashion, it should be changed with the seasons, home trends, or on a whim. Don’t be afraid to change a few elements of your bedding ensemble to lighten up during the warm months or to work with a change in the surrounding décor.
